Welcome to our Irish thatched cottage in Oughterard, County Galway, on the west coast of Ireland. Well known Click to view county mapas ‘The Gateway to Connemara’, Oughterard is a beautiful small town with all of it’s original charm and character whilst offering a range of everyday facilities all close by in it’s small town centre.

The cottage is a single storey thatched listed 18th century property which has been fully considerately renovated and refurnished to combine it's originality with comfortable modern living.
The grounds are fully enclosed by an authentic dry stone wall and many varieties of trees and shrubs are contained within this.
It is often referred to by locals and guests alike as 'a pretty cottage' and is recognised as a local landmark.

The local town centre has plenty to offer you on your holiday. The town boasts 8 pubs, all of which serve meals and bar snacks. There is also a good selection of restuarants including those specialising in seafood, French, Chinese and traditional Irish fayre.
If you wish to spend some of your time in a truly vibrant and interesting city, then Galway is only 14 miles away.

Whether you want to enjoy a holiday of golfing, fishing, walking, viewing fantastic scenery or just a very peaceful and relaxing holiday, you will find that Oughterard and nearby Galway city has something to offer every taste and age group.
