Welcome to our Irish thatched cottage in Oughterard, County Galway, on the west coast of Ireland. Well known as ‘The Gateway to Connemara’, Oughterard is a beautiful small town with all of it’s original charm and character whilst offering a range of everyday facilities all close by in it’s small town centre. The cottage is a single storey thatched listed 18th century
property which has been fully considerately renovated and refurnished
to combine it's originality with comfortable modern living. The local town
centre has plenty to offer you on your holiday. The town boasts 8
pubs, all of which serve meals and bar snacks. There is also a good
selection of restuarants including those specialising in seafood, French,
Chinese and traditional Irish fayre. Whether you want to enjoy a holiday of golfing, fishing, walking, viewing fantastic scenery or just a very peaceful and relaxing holiday, you will find that Oughterard and nearby Galway city has something to offer every taste and age group. We hope that you will soon visit our cottage and join the number of happy guests who have enjoyed their stays with us over the years.
